Despite what Bunny from Ye Jawani Hai Deewani thinks, Indian food (or marriage!) is not just dal chawal for the rest of your life. Luckily, not all foreigners think like that. Our global team rarely gets the chance to visit the main office down in Chandigarh. When Stevens, our Chief Financial Officer, visited us for the first time, we jumped at the chance to make his trip as memorable as possible.
Although this video was meant to capture a foreigner’s perspective on India, it’s a rich discourse on famous regional cuisines that Stevens got to eat here. From Biryani to Butter Chicken, Stevens discussed his wonder at the zesty flavours that make food not only an experience but a core memory.
Weddings have the power to bind people from different backgrounds together. Big Fat Indian Weddings are always spellbinding, even if you’re Indian yourselves. Among the functions, rituals, and ethnic clothing particular to traditional Indian weddings, for Stevens, the whole event was an education in Indian culture. Since our culture places great emphasis on the importance of hospitality, treating our guests with utmost respect is a stereotype that India embraces proudly.
We hope Stevens’ adventures with our team in India will encourage more foreigners to invest in an immersive travel experience. A work trip doesn’t always have to be so drab and unfeeling. Stevens’ trip to our office is proof of that.
