About Maurice Van Der Kant "What's in the Name?" For Gwen and I, June 7, 2008 was the most beautiful day. It was the day we were married in s’Herenhelderen, Belgium which is adjacent to Maastricht, Netherlands. As a man who believes in the strength and spirit of women, the concept of gender equality never made much sense to me. Women, in most respects, outshine their male counterparts. In accordance with these feelings, I decided to take Gwen’s last name
