Amidst the bustling streets and vibrant environment, a book fair was hosted by Booktale at Lajpat Rai Bhawan (sector 15) in the quaint city of Chandigarh. The event might seem ordinary for non-readers, but for bibliophiles, it was no less than a paradise.
Book Lover’s Paradise
The Girl Power Talk team, along with five fellow bookworms, received the opportunity to visit the book fair. The event was quite unique in its way, the place was a storehouse of books. As soon as we stepped into the haven, we were greeted by a sight that would make a book lover’s heart skip a beat – rows upon rows of books, each waiting to be discovered and cherished. The aroma of old books meandering with the vastness of the place left us open-mouthed. It’s not like we have never gone to book fairs before, but for bibliophiles, book fairs are like their safe space where they can live their moment and this book fair had a lot of variety, ranging from classics, self-help, sci-fi, and contemporary fiction – you name it, they had it! The place felt like a warm hug for bookworms. The fair was filled with a wonderful bibliomania, a mix of aged paper, forgotten stories, rare novels, and much more. It feels surreal to be
Hub of Inspiration for Girl Power Talk Team
For us, the Girl Power Talk team, whose ethos revolved around the power of learning, and growth, the allure of the book fair was irresistible. Here was an opportunity to immerse ourselves in a world of knowledge, inspiration, and imagination – and we dove in headfirst. The bibliophilic nature of the team members led them to this unique book fair, where they were running an offer on the amazing collection of books. We had the option of choosing as many books from any genre as we wanted within two sets of boxes, namely the mini boxes and the biggie boxes.
Handpicked Gems from the Fair
We traversed through the huge variety of books and picked up those that go the best with the vibrant collection at our office library. We were excited to pick up books ranging from Dan Brown’s Origin, Hippie by Paulo Coelho, Snuffing Out the Moon by Osama Siddique, Carole Matthews’s Happiness for Beginners to the Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte, and David Copperfield by Charles Dickens. From the gripping mystery of Dan Brown’s “Origin” to the soul-stirring prose of Paulo Coelho’s “Hippie,” each book was chosen with care and enthusiasm, reflecting the diverse tastes and interests of the team.
Filled with Fun, Food and Laughter
The adventure did not end here! The event was followed by a delicious office luncheon at a quirky Cafe JC’s where we indulged in creamy pastas to loaded nachos and topped it all off with delightful desserts. The day was filled with innumerable memories, fun, and laughter. This is how Girl Power Talk prioritizes work along with the self-care of their team members. As the day drew to a close and the sun dipped below the horizon, we found ourselves not only with boxes full of books in our hands but also with a lifetime of memories in our hearts. For in the beauty of the book fair, we had discovered not just stories but also the true essence of camaraderie, and the unbreakable bond that exists between kindred spirits united by a love for literature.
Conclusion:
All in all, the session was not only filled with adventure and fun but also insight into how Girl Power Talk invests in its team members. It provided an opportunity for team bonding outside the office, fostering deeper connections and rejuvenation. Moreover, it allowed book enthusiasts to explore a paradise for books, curating gems for our office library. As the day concluded, smiles adorned the faces of the team, marking it a memorable and fulfilling experience.
