Back to People We Admire

Ankit Khandelwal: The Man Who Views ‘Yin’ From a Different Vision Lens

“There are things known and there are things unknown, and in between are the doors of perception.”
– Aldous Huxley

Our perceptions directly influence the lives we live. When we feel entrapped in our thoughts and emotions, we often dwell on them for too long. But, a shift in how we view a situation or ourselves in the context of larger issue can do wonders for us. Imagine if we could draw upon that clarity and a much needed alternative perspective from within us whenever required. How that could change each one of us for the better!

To make that possible within me, I started investing myself in those dimensions of life that I thought may expand my level of perception to see clearer. This journey was truly empowering. I decided to create and share my thoughts on “Let’s Look Differently” blog to help others learn from my personal growth. Writing had always been a hobby but I wanted this to be more serious and purposeful. I decided to combine these three different yet connected notions to find my ultimate direction: joyful people, empowered women and sensitivity for the lives around us.

A joyful or happy person is often times more aware of the emotions of other people. This sensitivity, which is largely missing today in my opinion, can make the world so much more inclusive. I see this reality as impossible without the empowerment of women. The success of future generations will depend on how we eradicate imbedded gender inequalities. Success is what women deserve and them receiving equal or equitable opportunities is required for the better tomorrow I envision.

When I write about Women Empowerment, the idea is not to portray myself as a man supporting women, but rather about one human being supporting another one. The process also affords me a chance to witness and then express the beautiful hustle in women’s lives that many may not see. Amid all the physical, psychological, and emotional challenges in life, we must celebrate women who dare to develop their own idea of success and happiness. Unfortunately, society limits their potential and creates an unequal playfield oftentimes viewed through the lens of a man. In my view, women will be truly empowered when *they have the freedom to do what they love, and in a way that allows them to utilize their strengths to the fullest. I dedicate my energy to ensuring that women are appreciated for their unique idea of success and not evaluated based on the existing ideas constructed by men. This is my joy and sensitivity in action!
